  1. Whether to ask a girl if she has a boyfriend

by , 09-15-2020 at 06:04 AM (Games, analysis and discussion)
I haven't had much dating experience in my almost 60 years, and I still am single. However, there is a dating advice question I've given some thought to recently, as prompted by a memory from my youth. Regarding the question of whether a guy should ever ask a girl if she has a boyfriend, I've seen a variety of answers when doing some web searches. After trying to apply some logical thinking to the issue, the correct answer seems clear to me now. Namely, after some sort of introductory conversation(s) ...
  2. Re: large-scale conspiracies debunked by math equation

by , 09-09-2016 at 09:51 PM (Games, analysis and discussion)
Here's a link from this year, with a theory I don't quite believe re: conspiracies. It claims just a relatively low number of people (under 3000) involved would inevitably lead to the conspiracy being revealed (by 5 years time). One notable estimate is that 400,000+ would need to be involved if [manmade global] climate change were a deliberate hoax (I'd say maybe it is a hoax, but junk science also could be a possible explanation):

  3. Animal joke

Here's an original animal joke of mine (afaik):

One day a cuckoo bird met a rooster in a barnyard. The cuckoo bird said "The farmer has a bird like me in a clock that tells him the time every hour. You tell him the time only once a day. What else do you do"? The rooster replied "I make sure all the hens lay eggs for the farmer, and I stay with the hens to guard them. That's not what I heard you birds do. In fact, I'm so good at what I do, I heard that when I am older, ...

    Here's a Q & A monologue on some of my layman's ideas on humanity's future:

Q: Many hope technology will give mankind a better future. Do you see needs or ideas for blockbuster inventions which could positively affect humanity's future in a very significant way, & that may be created anytime soon?
