That is great, thanks a lot for sharing all that info Fred! Looks like things are picking up pace :-)
Once the new web site is ready, I should simply be able to point there, as you don't need duplication of data. Everything I have is at the CFC Tournament list, for those of us who can access it. Cut over to the new site will be soon.
I think the BC Seniors was a slow T/C event.
The new website is ready, you can point here: https://www.chess.ca/en/events/
If you (or anyone) needs to add a new/missing tournament, just click the "Add Event" button, fill out the form, and click submit. It gets queued up for CFC staff (just me for now) to review before accepting.
Hi Aris and Fred,
Not only the BC Seniors was a slow T/C event, the upcoming (August 15-16) BC Active Chess Championship (Chess.com) (Link: http://bcopenchess.pbworks.com/w/pag...88990/BCActive) will be 25/5, which is slower than other upcoming online events. And before that, on July 26th, i.e., in two days, the Brantford Food Bank Charity Tournament (Chess.com) (Link: http://www.miltonchess.ca/images/bcc...rdfoodbank.pdf) will also be 25/5. You can find all info in the CFC Club at Chess.com.
I do not think there is a slower T/C right now for CFC-rated tournaments, but I may be wrong...
Jose
The BC Senior last month was game in 90 with 30 second increments.
I think most players enjoyed it and if felt more like OTB chess than most online tournaments, not only because of the slow
time control but also the fact that most of the players knew each other. The attendance was actually about 10% higher than the 2019 OTB Senior.
Well done Fred. Nice to see the BC Active 15-16 August made the list.

Don, just on the website issue, my rating software that was constructed by Vincent Chow 2-3 years ago no longer works.
I think the problem is the link to the tournament results on the old website.
Bob mentioned to me that it would be on the list of work for the new website but there were more
urgent matters ahead of it in the queue. I suggest you contact Vincent Chow when you get to that item.
Thanks.
