Independence Day Norm Tournament USA Jun 28 to Jul 4
Tournament Details:
The Atlantic Chess Association is organizing the Independence Day Norm Tournament.
It is a 6 day, 11 rounds, 12 player Round Robin tournament. Lesser title norms (IM,WGM, WIM, FM) are also possible.

Venue: Hampton Inn & Suites Washington-Dulles International Airport
4050 Westfax Dr., Chantilly, VA 20151
Hotel has free parking as well as a free shuttle to Dulles International Airport.

The cutoff date for hotel booking is May 30, 2024.
Timeline:
Friday June 28 -Round 1 (5pm)
Saturday June 29 -Round 2 (5 pm)
Sunday June 30 -Round 3 (10 am) , Round 4 (5 pm)
Monday July 01 -Round 5 (10 am), Round 6 (5 pm)
Tuesday July 02 -Round 7 (10 am), Round 8 (5 pm)
Wednesday July 03 -Round 9 (10 am), Round 10 (5 pm)
Thursday July 04 -Round 11 (9 am)
4 Foreign GMs are confirmed to play in the norm tournament.

1) Player Name
2) Current FIDE rating
3) Current FIDE titles (if any)
4) Current FIDE norms (if any)
All players must be in good standing with USCF and their federation with FIDE.
Norm seekers with higher ratings are more likely to be included. If there is enough interest, we are considering hosting an IM norm tournament as well on the same dates.

Fees: Entry fee varies as per the player FIDE rating range given below. Players from foreign federations (non USA) pay $200 less.

2450+ - $600
2400 - 2449 : $800
2350 - 2399 : $1000
2300 - 2349 : $1200
2200 - 2299 : $1500
2000 - 2199 : $2000
If you are approved to play, you must send a check based on your current FIDE rating. Entry fee later will be adjusted up or down based on the June FIDE rating report.

Entry Fees: $850, $650 for foreign norm seekers
If you are selected to play, you must send payment within 5 business days.
Failure to do so will be considered withdrawal from the tournament.
