    ** Note: An new registration process has been implanted, all Canadian players can now directly register into the Pan-American Youth through the official website.


    The United States Chess Federation (US Chess), in partnership with the Confederation of Chess for Americas (CCA), International Chess Federation (FIDE), and Rosen Shingle Creek, cordially invite all CCA member federations to the XXXIV Pan-American Youth Chess Championships (Pan-Ams), July 15-20, 2024, in Orlando, Florida, USA.

    Playing Venue and Official Hotel :
    The event will be held in Convention Centre of Rosen Shingle Creek.
    9939 Universal Boulevard, Orlando Florida 32819, USA.


    Eligibility:
    There will be 12 sections (events) in the tournament, Open and Girls for each age category:
    Under 18, Under 16, Under 14, Under 12, Under 10 and Under 8.
    A player's age as of January 1, 2024 determines their age eligibility for a section.

    Players entitled to participate in each category are:

    Under 8: Players born after December 31, 2015
    Under 10: Players born after December 31, 2013
    Under 12: Players born after December 31, 2011
    Under 14: Players born after December 31, 2009
    Under 16: Players born after December 31, 2007
    Under 18: Players born after December 31, 2005


    Tournament Details and Time Control:
    Tournament Format: The tournament will be played using the Swiss System with 9 rounds. Pairings will be made with the FIDE official software, Swiss-Manager.
    Time Control: 90 minutes for all game plus an addition of 30 seconds per move starting from move one. Default time is 15 minutes.


    Players Registration Deadline: June 21, 2024, 11:59PM Central Time USA

    Registration process:
    1. All Canadian will require to create a USCF ID, click here to join the USCF membership: https://new.uschess.org/join-us-chess
    . For junior membership, it is $20US.

    2. Fill in the Canadian Player Only Registration Form from the official website.
    Once you submit your Canadian Player Only Registration Form from the PanAm official site, the organizer will send you an invoice and you will pay them directly.


    3. Fill in the CFC PanAm Registration Form. I will simplify the form and only ask who is going to Pan-American Youth.
    The CFC PanAm Registration Form is needed for CFC office to select who will be the official representatives to the PanAm Youth. Deadline day is May 1.


    Canadian Official Player Representatives application deadline: May 1, 2024
    All players who are interested to be considered as the official must fill in the CFC PanAm Registration Form #3 from previous section.

    Rules for Selection of Official Players for 2024 Pan-American Youth Chess Championships
    Only players who fill in the CFC PanAm Registration Form will be considered.
    Within one CFC chess calendar year, players who already received official benefits will not be considered unless there is no other player register for the section.

    Official Representatives will have the coverage for accommodation in designated hotel by the organizer base on a double occupancy room and meals in the official hotel. refer to article 5.7.1 on the regulation file.


    Player in the same age bracket has higher priority than player move up into next age bracket

    1. 2023 CYCC champion in same age group who didn't go to WCCC/WYCC/Pan-American Youth as official player.
    2. 2023 CYCC champion moving up age group who didn't go to WCCC/WYCC/Pan-American Youth as official player.
    3. Second place 2023 CYCC player in same age group who didn't go to WCCC/WYCC/Pan-American Youth as official player.
    4. Second place 2023 CYCC player moving up age group who didn't go to WCCC/WYCC/Pan-American Youth as official player
    5. Third place 2023 CYCC player in same age group who didn't go to WCCC/WYCC/Pan-American Youth as official player
    6. Third place 2023 CYCC player moving up an age group who didn't go to WCCC/WYCC/Pan-American Youth as official player
    7. Highest placing 2023 CYCC player whether in the same age group or moving up who did not go to WCCC/WYCC/Pan-American Youth as official player. Ties are resolved by highest rating.
    8. Anyone in the appropriate age group who played in 2023 CYCC.
    9. In case player(s) graduate into an older age bracket. The one not moving up an age bracket would have priority over someone moving up.
    10. If none of the qualifying players, rating is a tie break if you have two players who did not attend 2023 CYCC.

    After the registration deadline date, CFC office will carefully evaluate all players and select the official players.


    Accommodation Pricing:
    The following is the hotel room rates which is for 6 nights total (Buffet breakfast and lunch, served in the Playing Venue by the chefs of Rosen Shingle Creek, from July 15, 2024, to July 20, 2024.):
    Single (1 person) - $2600.
    Double (2 people) - $1500 / person = $3000.
    Triple (3 people) - $1300 / person = $3900.
    Quadruple (4 people) - $1100 / person = $4400.

    Any additional (shoulder) nights beyond the 6 included nights will be charged as follows:
    Single: $240 USD/person/night
    Double: $120 USD/person/night
    Triple: $80 USD/person/night
    Quadruple: $60 USD/person/night
    or $240/night regardless of room type.

    Accommodation Fee – various based on room type and number of persons in the room
    Includes Entry Fee to 2024 Pan-Am Youth (if participant)
    Includes Entry Fee to 2024 Pan-Am Youth Blitz (if participant)
    Custom Badge Accreditation



    VISA: No Visa is need for Canadian passport holder.
