FIDE and the Georgian chess federation invite FIDE member federations and eligible players to participate in the WORLD CUP (WC) Under 8, 10, 12. The World Cup will be held in Batumi (Black Sea-Side).

**IMPORTANT**
FIDE announces the first-ever World Cup for youngsters, only 48 players per each category from global are invited into this prestigious event.

Unfortunately based on article 3.4 and 3.5 from the regulation file. Canada does not qualify for any spot.
On Feb 4th, 2024, FIDE gave 12 wildcards to Canada, two for each category. We are given a deadline of Feb 14 to finalize all these 12 spots. If we don't have registration on certain category, the wildcard spots will be released from Canada and will be given to other countries.


Playing Venue and Official Hotel :
The event will be held in Hotel Complex Euphoria, Batumi Georgia


Eligibility:
There shall be 6 categories: Under 08, Under 10, Under 12 with separate events for Open and Girls.
Entitled to participate in each category are:
Under 08: Players born on or after 1 January 2016,
Under 10: Players born on or after 1 January 2014,
Under 12: Players born on or after 1 January 2012,


Tournament Details and Time Control:
World Cup will be played with two stages.
The time control is 90 minutes for each player plus 30 seconds per move starting from move one. The default time is 30 minutes

Players Registration Deadline: Feb 12, 2024

Only players who fill in the CFC registration form will be considered.


Rules for Selection of Official Players:
The highest two CFC regular rated players who registered and committed will be considered.
After the registration deadline date, CFC office will carefully evaluate all players and select the invited players.
**Parents are responsibility for all accommodation fee for all invited players and accompanying personals.


Accommodation Pricing:
The cost includes accommodation for 11 nights, with arrival on Jun 22 and departure on Jul 3, 2024, food from dinner on Jun 22 to breakfast on Jul 3. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are buffet style. It is a requirement to stay at the host hotel and make the reservation and payments of the lodging and food packages, only through the organizer.
Single room: 99 Euros.
Double room: 87 Euros.
Triple room: 81 Euros
Prices are per person. Applies to players, delegates and companions.
