To all organizers who run the CYCC qualifier:

There are few requirements for this event

    1. Event type: it has to be a junior event, meaning all players are under age of 18.

    2. CFC ID: All players need a CFC ID. Since this is a Junior event, participants don't need to be paid up membership.

    3. Rounds: minimum of 4 rounds

    4. Time Control: minimum 25 minutes (includes increments based on 60 moves, i.e. 15+10).

    5. Rating: it can be regular rated or quick rate depending on the time control.

    6. Format: any format is fine, section by age category or by rating. Must be OTB format by organizer. Online format must be approved by CFC office in advance.

    7. Fee: Subject to CYCC qualifier fee of $1.50 per player which goes to the CFC Youth Fund. This is in addition to normal rating fees (which is $0.5 per player).

    8. All players receiving a 50% score or better are qualified to participate in the CYCC. Where the score includes byes or games against players in different age groups, qualification is subject to approval by CFC on an individual basis.
