Hello Chess Enthusiasts!

We're thrilled to invite you to the Excelsior Chess Club's November 2023 Tournament, featuring U1800 and U2000 sections. This event is an excellent opportunity for chess players to compete, learn, and enjoy the spirit of the game with fellow enthusiasts.

Tournament Details:
Date: Friday, November 24 – Sunday, November 26, 2023
Location: Excelsior Chess Club, 91 Skyway Ave, Suite 206, Toronto, ON M9W 6R5
Sections: U1800 (1601 – 1800 CFC), U2000 (1801 – 2000 CFC)
Format: 90 minutes + 30 seconds a move
Time Control: Rounds at Friday 7pm, Saturday 10am & 3:30pm, Sunday 10am & 3:30pm
Entry Fee: $80 for all sections (20% discount for Club Members, 20% discount for Families with two participants, 30% discount for Families with three or more participants)
Prizes: Total Prize Fund of $1,050 based on 90 paid entries (U2000 section: $550 – $300, U1800 section: $150 – $50)

This tournament is not just for seasoned players but also for those looking to improve their game. It's about the love for chess, the strategies, and the thrill of the challenge.

Registration is open online through November 23, 2023, at 11:59 pm, and in-person registration is available on November 24, 2023, from 6:00 pm to 6:30 pm. Spaces are limited, so be sure to register early!
