Default Canada has a new world champion: Shawn Rodrigue-Lemieux

Christina Tao, our CFC youth coordinator has informed me that continuing his recent pattern of winning outright or tying for first in every tournament that he plays in, Shawn Rodrigue-Lemieux has won the World Youth Chess Championship U18 Open. Victor Plotkin announced this in the World Youth thread but this is a milestone that deserves its own thread.

    Congratulations, Shawn!

The first of many such norms, no doubt. He is really on a tear.

It's a GM Norm based on his performance (2615, 11 rounds, multiple federations), but is there also a GM norm (or title?) as part of the prize for winning?
I've looked online and don't see any prizes mentioned that are worth mentioning.

U18 Gold = GM norm. Otherwise, Shawn missed 2 requirements: average rating above 2380 and 4 (out of 11) GMs.

Really, an amazing performance, taking into account how difficult is to gain rating points in junior events.
