Another amazing result for Shawn - 9/9 in IM norm tournament in USA. The line-up was not so strong, so his expected result should be around 6/9. That means +60 rating points with his K-factor=20.

I don't remember any other player who shared 1st place in both Canadian Closed and Canadian Open for the same year (at least since 2005). Not to mention that Shawn won every side events on Canadian Open and got 7/7 at CYCC U-18.

I am very positive about his chess future as Shawn has great positional understanding for his young age also plays extremely well in bad positions.
