Registration Open for FIDE Youth Chess Championships 2022 @ Romania
FIDE, in conjunction with the Romanian Chess Federation together with Chess Club Universul and Chess Club Juniorul Constanta, have announced that the FIDE World Youth Chess Championships 2022 will be held Sept. 5-17 at the Mamaia, City of Constanta, Romania.

If you are planning to go to WYCC regardless of the CYCC results, I urge you to fill in the registration form (which gives me time to put the Canadian Team together).
For player and player's family, please do all flight searches, check your passport's validity, and prepare for your visas if needed in advance.
Top 3 CYCC winners in each age catalogue will be automatically qualified to play in WYCC.
Filling in the registration form will be considered as you apply into the WYCC team if you do not finish top 3 in CYCC. We will review all applications
Do not buy the flight ticket until you are approved and confirmed in the Team
TOURNAMENT DETAILS
There will be six sections: Open and Girls in age categories Under 14, Under 16, and Under 18.
A player's age as of Jan. 1, 2022 determines their age eligibility for a section.
Under 14: Players born on or after Jan. 1, 2008
Under 16: Players born on or after Jan. 1, 2006
Under 18: Players born on or after Jan. 1, 2004
Each event will be a 11-round Swiss system tournament, using a time control of 90 minutes with a 30-second increment.
Direct titles shall be awarded according to the FIDE regulations.
If a player is more than 15 minutes late they forfeit the game.

ACCOMMODATIONS
For security and organizational reasons, all Canadian participants will stay at the same official hotel Ramada, and will book through CFC. The organizer offers the the accommodation for 12 nights (Sept. 5-17) with meals included from dinner on Sept. 5 to breakfast on Sept. 17.
Hotel fee is calculated per person per day.
$1,656CAD/person in a single room, 1 person (92€/day)
$1,296CAD/person in a double room, 2 people (72€/day)
$1,188CAD/person in a triple room, 3 people (1 double/1 single bed, limited number available, 66€/day)
REGISTRATION - DEADLINE IS JULY 12.
CFC is accepting entries for eligible players until July 12, 2022. No registrations will be accepted after July 12, 2022. The July 12 deadline is set to provide for administrative actions to meet the organizers' deadline.

Upon completion the form, CFC will send an invoice which must be paid by the July 12 deadline.
Please note, the following additional fees will be charged: € stand for euro
FIDE Entry Fee - Official player : 70€/player, additional player: 140€/player
Tournament Registration Fee - $100 €/player
Special Accreditation Fee - $100€/accompanying person (without this accreditation you cannot access the playing venue)
Airport transfer - 80€/person (Transportation from Bucharest or Varna International Airport to official hotels, round trip, September 5 and 17 only)
CFC Administrative Fee - $100 CAD/player
A Canada-flagged FIDE ID is required for all Canadian players.

OFFICIAL REPRESENTATIVES
The 2022 CYCC Champions from U14, U16 and U18 open and girl sections.
Official Representatives will receive a travel sponsorship of up to $1000 from CFC, and are reimbursed for entry fees, and administrative fees. Travel and all fees for accompanying persons are the player’s responsibility.
All Official players who plan to attend must be registered and fully paid by the July 12, 2022, deadline.
