Default Wiki re: Queen's Indian Defence

Here's the wiki re: the Queen's Indian Defence (QID):

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Queen%27s_Indian_Defense

The wiki treats the ultra-respectable QID in a somewhat skimpy fashion, IMHO. The QID can begin with 1.d4 Nf6 2.c4 e6 3.Nf3 and now 3...b6 starts it.

QID players normally also play the Nimzo-Indian (3.Nc3 Bb4) if given the chance. In case of 3.g3 Black can choose between 3...d5 (to defend against a Catalan, normally - the traditional mating of the Nimzo/QID/Catalan as a defensive complex vs. 1.d4), 3...c5 (to defend against a g3-Benoni or a g3-Symmetrical English possibly) or 3...Bb4+.

Returning to 3.Nf3, Black had a choice between 3...d5, 3...c5, 3...Bb4+, besides playing the QID or some much less common third moves.

A repertoire issue that may concern many QID players that I haven't seen mentioned in books or the wiki is that by playing 1.Nf3, White may hope to still allow the QID by transposition, except avoid the popular line 1.d4 Nf6 2.c4 e6 3.Nf3 b6 4.g3 Ba6 by means of delaying d2-d4 until Black has committed to playing ...b7-b6 followed by ...Bb7 (or alternatively, White may hope that Black goes into a Queen's Gambit line by playing an early ...d7-d5, in which case Black may have even been move-ordered out of a QID by in effect playing 3.Nf3 d5, if the 1.d4 Nf6 2.c4 e6 move order had been used instead, and Black didn't even get to defend against a Catalan).

One solution to dealing with White's aim (starting with 1.Nf3) is to play 1.Nf3 Nf6 and then if 2.g3 Black could choose between 2...b5!? and 2...c5 (possibly intending ...g6); if Black doesn't mind playing ...d7-d5 followed by ...c7-c6 he might get a nice g3-Slav line too; In case of 2.c4 Black can play 2...c5 (possibly intending ...g6 or ...d5) or he can play 2...e6 intending to answer 3.Nc3 with 3...Bb4 or in case of 3.g3 he can play 3...d5, after which he may get a Catalan line with no options lost for him in case of 4.d4; if Black plays the Sicilian then 1.Nf3 c5 possibly leads to that or else to Symmetrical English lines where he has all kinds of options, such as an early ...Nc6. Finally, in case of 1.d4 Nf6 2.Nf3 e6 3.g3, 3...b5!? is possible besides 3...c5 or 3...d5.
