    The Confederation of Chess for America (CCA) and Brazilian Chess Federation (CBX) are pleased to invite all National Chess Federations of the Americas to the XXXI Panamerican Youth Chess
    Festival to be held in HYBRID FORMAT, from September 4th to 10th, 2021

    Panamerican Online Qualifier
    August 7-8, 2021
    The Qualifier event will be played on Tornelo platform.
    9 rounds, Game/10 minutes +5 second increment per move.
    The qualifier will qualify top 25 (twenty-five) players per category for the final phase.


    Panamerican Final Stage
    September 4 - 10, 2021
    Hybrid in person tournament, location TBD
    The Final phase will be played in Swiss System in 9 (nine) rounds, Swiss Manager.
    The rate of play is 90 minutes with 30 seconds increment per move from move 1.

    CATEGORIES
    The tournament can be played by boys and girls born from January 1st, 2003.
    The events will be distributed in two sections: Open and Girls following the categories:
    - Under 06: Born from January 1st, 2015;
    - Under 08: Born from January 1st, 2013;
    - Under 10: Born from January 1st, 2011;
    - Under 12: Born from January 1st, 2009;
    - Under 14: Born from January 1st, 2007;
    - Under 16: Born from January 1st, 2005;
    - Under 18: Born from January 1st, 2003.

    Entry fees
    CAD $75 for the PanAmerican Youth Chess Festival Online Qualifier Event.

    Payment Method:
    - For Paypal or bank etransfers :
    The recipient will be "Chess Federation of Canada"
    Please direct payment to info@chess.ca

    - For Visa or Mastercard method:
    Please send card number & expiry date to admin@chess.ca or phone CFC office at 289-337-0561.


    Note: include player name, CFC#, section, membership renewed (If you include your CFC membership renewal fee)


    Important Final Stage Information
    CFC cannot guarantee that we will be able to organize a Tournament Hall within the Canada. There will be no exceptions to playing the Hybrid Final Stage outside of a Tournament Hall and your entry into the Online Qualifier constitutes acceptance of the notification that no such Tournament Hall(s) exist in the Canada at this moment in time, and the possibility exists that no such Tournament Hall(s) will be organized by CFC within the Canada. Participants will be responsible for all additional Finals registration fees and all travel and accommodation costs.



    TITLES AND NORMS
    At this point, FIDE American is still waiting for confirmation from FIDE about the Titles and Norms. It is NOT CONFIRMED yet.

    The winner of each category has personal rights to 2022 Panamerican Youth Chess Festival.
    Norms and direct titles will be conceded for International Master (IM-WIM), FIDE Master (FMWFM) and Candidate Master (CM-WCM), according to FIDE Handbook (to be confirmed by FIDE
    due to Hybrid format).
    U18:
    Gold (after tiebreaks if needed) = IM/WIM title
    2nd, 3rd (if all tied for first) = IM/WIM norm
    Silver & Bronze = FM/WFM title

    U16:
    Gold (after tiebreaks if needed) = IM/WIM norm
    2nd, 3rd (if all tied for first) = FM/WFM title
    Silver & Bronze = CM/WCM title

    U14 & U12:
    Gold (after tiebreaks if needed) = FM/WFM title
    Silver & Bronze = CM/WCM title
    U8 & U10:
    Top three = CM/WCM title


    Fair Play
    Completion of this registration form constitutes acceptance to abide by all fair play procedures specified in the event regulations and the ability to meet any technical requirements. Any violation of the fair play regulations may lead to exclusion from all official FIDE chess tournaments, including over-the-board events for a period of up to 15 years as well as possible sanctions by CFC Chess.
