I need to assemble 2 Deputy Arbiters (paid positions) and 3 Appeals Committee members (honourary!)

With the same deadline of May 26th, please email your application to arismarghetis at rogers dot com

For all 5 positions, please include your level of experience with any major playing zones / platforms

Please note that the Deputy Arbiters will also work 1-2 "qualification" evenings a few days before

Thank you, best regards, Aris Marghetis, Chief Arbiter.

Hello again, in case it's not clear from my previous posts, the Arbiters would be "Online" from home (they WON'T be Hybrid Arbiters onsite with anyone)

(and of course the Appeals Committee would be virtual as well)

ALL REGISTERED PLAYERS should have just received a critical email from me. If not, please check your spam. If still not, please email Victor Plotkin ASAP.

Thank you, Aris Marghetis, Chief Arbiter.

So we had the Technical Meeting last hour, and among other things, we did the classic Drawing of Lots. The Open section will be a 12-player 11-round single-round-robin, followed by 4-game playoff matches between the top 4 finishers (1v4 & 2v3). The Women section will be 5-player 10-round double-round-robin (no playoffs). I gotta get up really early for Euro chess, so I'll issue the official itemized schedule later this weekend. In the meantime, people can plug in the following numbers into classic Berger tables. Thank you to all the players attending this evening, and good news for chess fans, in addition to streaming some games on Twitch, I should be able to post almost all games over at ChessTalk within an hour of their completion. And here are the Berger #s:

    1 - Joseph
    2 - Raja
    3 - Rohan
    4 - Mark
    5 - Razvan
    6 - MaxR
    7 - MaxG
    8 - Shiyam
    9 - Victor
    10 - Michael
    11 - MaxC
    12 - Evgeny

    1 - Qiyu
    2 - Julia
    3 - Svitlana
    4 - Ngoc
    5 - Carina
