    Followings are the major tournaments happened within 2019-2020 Chess calendar year.

    2019 World Cadet Chess Championship, Weifang China: Aug 20-Sept 2, 2019
    We had 22 players from U8, U10, U12 Open and Girls section representing Canada to World Cadet.

    HoD: Christina Tao
    Team coaches: Kaiqi Yang and Mikhail Egorov
    • Open U-08: Erwin Jun Han Mok, William Zihao Jiang and Khoi Trinh
    • Open U-10: Johnathan Jiabao Han, Ethan Song, Winston Huang and Dennis Haoze Wang
    • Open U-12: Daniel Rui Xu, Max Chen, Eric Haoyu Jiang, Matthew Zhu and Thomas Pan
    • Girls U-08: Rae Chen
    • Girls U-10: Anni Guo, Dorsa Shaeri, Katherine J R Zhang
    • Girls U-12: Veronica Yu Han Guo, Kate Yuhua Jiang, Gillian Xi Lin Mok, Kaitlyn Long Xin Tao, Rachel Ruoxuan Chen and Collen J Y Zhang


    2019 Vladimir Dvorkovich Cup, Altobe, Kazakhstan: Sept 20-Sept 27, 2019
    We sent 4 players to represent Canada on this event.

    Thank you Christina for all your hard work and effort on these tournaments -- and in regard to the team matches, not an easy task to coordinate the Canadian team AND also coordinate with the coordinator on the other teams! Well Done!
