A few comments on our 600 offer:
Many out of print books from recent tournaments. The first US championships no 3 from New York 1857, no 5 the first and second Germans with the well known classical names, and no 19 Cambridge Springs 1904 (!), the only book from this event printed in 1935. Barmen 1905 , no 21, a beautiful and rare example of chess congresses 100 years ago!
A very rare pamphlet is no 78, DM 1951. This is edited by the late Hans Rasmussen, Århus. Very small print and impossible to trace nowadays. The author was only 14 years old at the time. In 1969-1975 he was the editor of Skakbladet. In Sweden the very first SM bulletin is from 1962!
This auction offers ca 100 cheap booklets, many "buy 2, pay 1 only" and these can perhaps be used to create an opening repertoire for any active amateur! There are Trends to Caro-Kann, Budapest Gambit, Sicilian Dragon and "Polugajevsky", King´s Indian Attack, Dynamic Reti and many others. Catalogue no 375 - 437. They are all out of print and will not be re-printed.
A unique offer is catalogue no 361: The Viborg Book from 1773. The first chess book in Denmark!
