Our meeting runs for more than a month. It’s time for a summary and closure.
During the meeting we completed/started the following tasks:
1. Finalized all 19 CFC/OCA Governors.
2. Elected OCA Executives: President (Ilia Bluvshtein), Regional VPs (EOCA - Aris Marghetis, GTCL - Evgeni Tobolovsky, NOCL - Ellen Nadeau, SWOCL - Garvin Nunes), Secretary (Egidijus Zeromskis), Treasurer (Brett Campbell), Youth Co-ordinator (Patrick McDonald).
3. Elected Executive VP - Evgeni Tobolovsky.
4. Formed OCA Constitution Committee (Garland Best, Evgeni Tobolovsky, Ilia Bluvshtein). Taking this opportunity, I invite CFC members in good standing residing in Ontario to join the Committee.
5. Brett Campbell and I had a face-to-face meeting to discuss OCA financial issues.
6. Egidijus Zeromskis started working on update of the OCA website.
Next Steps:
1. Complete update of the OCA website.
2. Ensure the Leagues get CFC rebates for 2013-2014 financial year.
3. Prepare a first draft of OCA Constitution by July 11th.
4. Solicit OCA tournaments: Ontario Open, Youth, Senior and Women’s Championships. Taking this opportunity, I invite the chess community to bid for Ontario tournaments. SWOCL has the privilege to organize Ontario Open in 2015.
