Round 1 of this tournament ( hastily moved to Russia when the Doha, Qatar bid recently fell through ) starts on December 14. Where can I find a list of the players in this tournament?

I've looked at the FIDE website, and the link on the homepage only gives the schedule, etc. - no player names.

But Carlsen, for one, has withdrawn.

Hi John:

It was reported that Carlsen's father had indicated that Magnus was unhappy with having his contract with FIDE changed in mid-stream in the 2010 ( or now 2011 ) World Championship cycle. But he had not outright confirmed the Magnus withdrawal. What is your source that this is now confirmed?

Hi John:

I just saw the ChessBase report confirming the Carlsen withdrawal as one of the 21 players. I wonder if others will now withdraw? ( note that Shirov who was vocal about the unfairness of FIDE's actions, is not in the Grand Prix ).
