    Default GTCL 2008/09 Club Competition

The Greater Toronto Chess League are starting a new season !!! The same three events as the last year: Premier League, Under 2000 League, and Cup competition. The slightly changed rules are presented as a simple unformatted text, and as an formatted more extended version in the attached PDF file at www.TorontoChess.org.

Print the PDF file and share with your chess friends, build teams and actively participate in competitions. Your questions and submissions should be emailed to egis@kris-egis.com till October 31.

Good luck in the new season,
    Egidijus

P.S. At this moment the PDF version is seen only to registered users at torontochess.org.

    Default update

We have several clubs interested in participation:
Chess Academy of Canada (the last year winner of Premier League and Cup)
Willowdale Chess Club (upgraded the team and moved to Premier League, and they will certainly challenge the CAC in the Cup)
Knights of Chess Club (U2000, and considering to play in the Cup)
    Brampton Chess Club (U2000)
    BOTSB (U2000).

Bayview Chess Club is considering to enter as well.

I, as a Club Coordinator, would support just teams (without affiliation to any club) willing to play, if they would agree to play at opponents clubs or would arrange other playing venues. As I know, there were such teams and clubs outside of GTCL area who came to play in the GTCL clubs. With gas price going down this is the option again However, this should be approved by GTCL participating clubs.
