The organizers of the 2-day ( March 26 & 27 ) Hamilton ( Ontario, Canada ) Winter Open have announced that 2 GM’s will play: GM Wesley So, # 1 player in the Philippines, # 76 in the world, FIDE-rated 2667 – he has graciously committed to play while visiting Canada ( here ‘til March 29, visiting his mother who now lives in Toronto ); Canada's highest CFC-rated GM, Bator Sambuev ( previously of the Russian Federation ), rated CFC 2718.
