The National Appeals Committee is the CFC's "Court of Last Resort" in matters "at the board". It is a committee of 5 senior Directors and Arbiters. While it is extremely useful to have the FIDE International Arbiter title it is not strictly required. The Committee ONLY convenes when there is a matter needing to be resolved and in many years does not sit due to there being no appeals to be resolved.

2022-2023's members were Ilia Bluvshtein, Pierre Dénommée, Mark Dutton, Aris Marghetis (chair), Stephen Wright and on behalf of the National Executive I want to specially thank them for their service to Chess.

Please note that I respectfully resigned/retired from this position a few months ago.

It was very rewarding working with such an honourable and earnest group of people.

Thank you Ilia, Pierre, Mark, and Stephen!

Best regards, Aris Marghetis.

If I may suggest, why not ask previous members Mark Dutton and Stephen Wright?
