I believe there is a requirement for 2% of the voting members to back a nomination which means one voting member. If a voting member declares then that is 2%. I appreciate Victoria and Patricia's seconding of my nomination and their kind words.

As i read that clause, the 1% (that i just checked on the website. ) is needed for advanced nominations (like it would be included in a agenda). At the meeting nominations do not need % threshold and no seconder needed per Act.

While I appreciate the enthusasm shown here, under our rules seconders are not needed and no one should nominate someone already nominated.
