Does anyone have any recommendations with regard to insurance companies?

I believe we should look for "umbrella" liability insurance that any CFC-sanctioned chess activity would be covered by. But, I have no idea where to start.

Thank you Vlad for asking around.

I have started asking around for quotes. I am not sure that we could afford that kind of coverage as we would need to provide details for every club and tournament which we obviously don't have.

I hear ya. But a big thanks for initiating the search. Larry has some levels of coverages, and in the end, I guess we'll have to settle on what we deem is reasonable.

Sorry for delayed reply - after a long weekend a lot to catch up...

We found a a company (all credits go to Bernie Prost) with a reasonable price for chess events https://www.palcanada.com/index.php/en-us/event-hosts/special-events-liability#submitForm
Seems their specialty is events. They were quite flexible to include some dates after later on.

All FQE affiliated clubs get an insurance. Your insurer does not offer insurance in the province of Quebec, it is impossible to select Quebec as a province.
