The National Appeals Committee is a committee of 5 senior tournament directors and arbiters which meet to adjudicate appeals. The committee meets on an ad hoc basis and does its business by e-mail and is governed by CFC Handbook section 1240 and following sections.

Voting Members should note that there is a motion before the Assembly (e.g. this meeting) to amend section 1246 to raise the required deposit fee. No other change to the terms of reference of the NAC is contemplated by this motion.

I am happy to continue to work on this committee. As a long time chairman of this committee, I have always had an excellent working relationship with our FIDE Rep Hal Bond and our current NAC Chairman Aris Margethis.
