After receiving some advice from local supporters, I have booked my flight and reserved my hotel in Edmonton.
Woody Allen once said that the most important thing in life is to show up.
I will be showing up at the 2009 Chess Federation of Canada Annual General Meeting in Edmonton.
If one is going to lead an organization, I believe that this person has to make a commitment to be there in person to discuss their ideas, listen to other people's ideas, and decide on the best course of action to make the CFC strong and viable in order to promote chess in Canada from sea to sea and all over the world.
It will be my distinct pleasure to discuss the future of chess with any person interested in promoting chess in Canada and internationally.
I invite any Incoming CFC Governors to support my candicacy for President.
Please bring your concerns, your ideas, and energy to the CFC AGM, and above all your sense of humor.
