I'm uncertain what the constitution says in terms of whether people can simply nominate themselves or whether they have to be nominated by someone else. In any case to be on the "safe side" if a nomination is required, I nominate Vladimir Drkulec for President.

Thank you for your nomination. In the past we had to have a nomination and a seconder but we have not required that nor is it required under the NFP act. Individuals can nominate themselves and don't require a seconder. The only requirement for a voting member and a potential member of the executive is that they have an up to date CFC membership.

Am pretty sure the member has to be an adult member since serving on the board is something carrying fiduciary responsibilities (in plain English "you're safe as long as everything you do is in good faith and not for personal gain" and that's a promise a minor just can't legally give. It was certainly true in the old Act and I can't imagine the new NFP act changing that.

I didn't think of that but yes you have to be an adult to be a director.

You actually have to be an adult to be a Voting Member.
