It still is down; there was a post today about it on ChessTalk - I guess the news is that it is being worked on...

hmmm. I see nobody previously responded to this so ... the site was down for several days last week due to hardware issues. New equipment was installed which solved the problem and chess.ca has been back up for about a week.
