Dear Chess Friends,
I got the following email:
"Dear Chess Player,
The Copper State International will be a 10 round FIDE rated norm event held in Mesa (Phoenix), Arizona. Full details on the event are at the tournament website http://www.americanchess.net/tournaments/csi_052909.asp.
The event will be conveniently held between the Chicago Open and the National Open (Las Vegas) from May 29 to June 3, 2009.
May 1 is the final day to qualify for the lowest entry fees and after that date all entry fees will be increased!
The current list of players (http://www.americanchess.net/tournaments/csi_052909_players.asp) includes GMs Izoria, Kacheishvili, Gareev, Ramirez and Yermolinsky. There are also numerous IMs and other titled players representing various different nations.
The event is being organized by FM Danny Rensch and American Chess Events. Danny can be reached via email at Danny@AmericanChess.net.
