I have been struggling with this issue to get it to members for a few days now.
First, it was just finding the time, then a variety of computer issues driving me nuts.

Okay, so now I have a partial victory. Hurrah!

The July issue is available on the CFC website for all, if you know where to look.

Go to the CFC website, newsletter archives, and click on the heading July 2014.
You got it, hopefully!

I am getting reports that not all the downloads are successful.
Please let us know if you could download it all okay.
I have reports that some pictures are not downloading???

This is supposed to be a members only issue, but that is where some of my computer issues are.
Getting those stupid password links to work properly. Grrrr......frustrating.
I'm waiting on some help to get it sorted out.

To calm my nerves, I'm heading for Guelph, gonna play some chess.
I'm going to take out all my frustrations over the board. Pity my opponents, LOL

Hopefully, I can get the emails to members out tonight.......or my opponents tomorrow will have an even tougher time!!!!

It downloaded fine when I tried it a few minutes ago.

This is a coded way for those people to say "I am not computer literate".

The file is a PDF, it doesn't download photos or text separately.
People who are having problems reading it (e.g. if a picture doesn't seem to be there) should:

1) stop using an internet browser to read it, and switch to Adobe Reader,
2) try resizing the window, (some hardware has trouble correctly showing the different layers on the PDF pages, but corrects itself when forced to redraw the screen).

Won't they have an easier time, winning by forfeit while you're at home fixing things? :p

The file is pretty heavy, so I wouldn't be surprised if some downloads were unsuccessful for people using mobile devices or having a bad internet connection (for instance with a public wifi). A good explanation for missing pictures might be an old version of Adobe Reader (or browser).

That said, it works fine for me, and the content was worth the wait :)

Is there a PGN file of the included games? CanBase may be missing some.
