The CFC Regular Chess Post – Jan. 3/14 – Canadian World Champion!
Toronto Area Junior Girl, Harmony Zhu - New World Champion (Girls U 8)!!
Richmond Hill (City north of Toronto) Junior, Harmony Zhu, scored 9/11 pts. in the WYCC U 8 Girls section, to win the World Championship for that class. Congratulations Harmony!! She is Canada’s third gold medalist since the start of this tournament. Canada has not had a gold medal winner since Jason Cao won the U 10 Open in 2010.

I am really happy to see all these nice comments from you. To me, winning WYCC is like another dream come true! My first dream was to perform at Carnegie Hall, which came true twice this year already! This is my second dream and that came true too!...”
