The CCC Post ( Week of August 12 - 18/11 ).
Q: The Cooperative Chess Coalition ( CCC ) has been around for half a year now ( started in Feb./11 ) – has it accomplished anything?
A: There has been a first CCC SUCCESS!! At the CFC AGM on July 11, CCC got its Motion 2011-K, as amended, passed by 2/3 of the governors voting ( it was a “ constitutional “ amendment ), deleting the out-dated and odious Section 14 of By-law # 1 in the CFC Handbook. It had basically denied CFC members with concerns any access directly to the CFC Governors’ Assembly ( it directed them to their Provincial Affiliate ). CCC will now build on that success by developing a new replacement section clearly declaring CFC member rights.
