On the CFC website is listed as: Canadian Women's Closed (non Zonal)
What "Non Zonal" means? FIDE is not listing the dates for 2012 Women's Worls Championships just the place as Khanty Mansiysk, Russia. It will be another CWC zonal before?

The accepted bid is for a non-Zonal championship, meaning that the winner will not be qualified to represent Canada at the Women's World Championship. A spot on the Women's Olympic Team, however, will be at stake. The intention is for there to be a Zonal Championship in time to produce a qualifier for the 2012 Women's World Championship, with interest already having been expressed behind the scenes. The resultant bid will be brought before the governors in due course.

An educated guess is that any player who has a chance to win 1st place, would qualify anyway by rating, so all is left is the bragging rights.

The winner will become the Canadian Women’s Champion, and will earn a place on the 2012 Olympiad Women’s Team. .

Without a minimum rating requirement to play in the tournament, let's say (hopefully will not be the case), if none of the top players will participate, we can have let's say a 10-11 years old rated around 1200-1500 playing for Canada at the next Olympiad, eh?
