The first weekend tournament in Windsor since the late '80s...
What: CFC regular-rated chess tournament
When: Saturday, 1 October and Sunday 2 October
Rounds at 12.00 noon and 5.00pm on Saturday, 10.00am and a.s.a.p. on Sunday
Where: University of Windsor, Alumni Hall, 750 Sunset Ave, Windsor, ON, N9B 3B5
Parking information will be available in September Format: Pro section (open to 1400+) and Amateur section (under 1600)
Time control: 90 mins per player per game with a 30 second Fischer increment from move 1
All chess equipment provided, including Saitek III digital clocks
Cost: Pro section: $40 (Free entry to players rated 2200+) Amateur section $25
Prizes: 100% of entry fees in the Pro section paid as prizes; trophies for the Amateur section
$50 bonus for anyone in either section winning all four games
Registration: PRE-REGISTRATION ESSENTIAL by email. Check in 11.00 to 11.45. You pay the entry fee at the door
