The European Championship ended today. A lot of very quick draws on the top boards left Vladimir Potkin, Radoslaw Wojtaszek and Judit Polgar still tied for 1st and in that order on tie-break. Alexander Moiseenko won his game to join the trio with 8.5, and was 4th on tie-break. Each player earns 13,500 euros.
Finishing in 5th - 15th were Vallejo-Pons, Ragger, Feller, Svidler, Mamedov, Vitiugov, Zhigalko, Jakovenko, Korobov, Inarkiev, and Postny with 8.
According to the event regulations the top 23 qualify, so that would include the following 7.5 players - Azarov, Khairullin, Kobalia, Guliyev, Zherebukh, Riazantsev, Iordachescu, and Lupulescu.
