The blindfold sessions saw no serious blunders today in Monaco, as all games ended in draws. The rapid games were a different story as Levon Aronian lost his 1st game of the tournament to 4th place Alexander Grischuk. However 2nd place Vishy Anand suffered the same fate at the hands of Vassily Ivanchuk. Magnus Carlsen did make up ground scoring 1 and a half against Sergei Karjakin.
After 6 double rounds, Aronian still leads with 8.5/12 and is now followed by Carlsen with 7.5, with Anand and Grischuk holding down 3rd with 7.
