The standings at Amber took a big turn today as Levon Aronian went 2-0 against Vugar Gashimov, while Magnus Carlsen went down 2-0 to Vassily Ivanchuk. At the same time Vishy Anand was held to two draws by Sergei Karjakin.
So while they are still 1,2,3 the scores are now Aronian 8/10, Anand 6.5 and Carlsen 6. Is Aronian just going to coast home, less than half way through the event? You have to think a big win here is going to make him the favourite going into the Canadidates Matches in May.
