I recently sent the following e-mail to all Governors:

Governors’ On-line Meeting - Notice of Close of Voting

Hi to All Governors:

Just a short note to say that voting closes in 24 hours for EDT ( Wed., April 14 @ 6:00 PM EDT ).

Three motions are being voted on:

Motion 2010-05 - Governor Activity Rule;
Motion 2010-06 – First Time CFC’er Annual Membership Discount/ Tournament Playing Fee; and
Motion 2010-07 - Amending the CYCC Rules..

So far, 35/60 Governors have come to the meeting – a MAJORITY of governors ( 58 % ) !! And 74 % of those attending have voted ( 26/35)!

Here is the list:

Bob Armstrong – voted; John Coleman – didn’t vote Ken Einarsson – voted

Egis Zeromskis – voted Ken Craft – voted Les Bunning - voted

Eric van Dusen – voted Mark Bluvshtein - voted

There has been good debate on the three motions, and the posts are all still available for all governors to view, before voting. The voting poll/post for each motion is at the top of the screen as a “ sticky “.

One other vote has now been added – “ The President should authorize the immediate posting on the Governors’ Discussion Board of the Budget vote results “. The background to this is that, as you now know, GL # 4 has in it neither the budget nor the results of the budget vote. Some do not think we should have to await GL # 5 ( when will it come out? ) to get this information. Come vote on this issue too..[ subsequently, Eric advised he would have Lyle post the results! ].

So if you have attended, but not yet voted, please return to the meeting, and cast your vote. If you have not yet attended the meeting, please consider doing so – the rules are flexible and no one is considered “ late “. You can attend whenever your schedule allows. Come, participate and vote!

Finally, there have been many interesting ongoing posts on numbers of agenda items – many seek further opinions of governors and ask pertinent questions. I would ask all attending governors to now re-attend the meeting before it closes, to review these new posts and provide your continuing input. Don’t forget as well, that there will be a “ Closing Address “ sometime soon after 8:00 PM EDT on Wednesday night ( the meeting closes at 9:00 PM EDT ) – currently it is scheduled to be given by V-P Stijn de Kerpel.

Thanks to all who are making this meeting a success.

Bob, Posting Secretary
