Bob, do you plan to do update tonight? (Thursday, 21/3/2024)

Egis, I was hoping to have it done this afternoon, but an assortment of problems emerged to make that impossible.
I was visiting the forum to announce the update will be late tonight.
Probably tonight, but maybe drag into tomorrow morning.

And I see tournaments are still being submitted as I type this.
They may or may not be included, it depends.

Rating update is complete.
But I did encounter an assortment of problems, and thus several tournaments are missing from this update.
TD's who haven't already, should contact me and get these issues resolved in time for the next update.

What is the status?
I tried on two computers to udpate the rating file for SwissManager, and getting errors. Looks like that the database hits 100 000 lines, and then does not like it. Maye that the SM limit for the CFC. FIDE goes without issues.

I opened .mde file with Access, and it shows ~20 000 entries without names, their CFC are in 9000000 numbers. Maybe it is possible to get rid of these?

deleted those entries from the database, and now SM imports the file.

Hi Egis. Sorry, I am just seeing your post now.
Yes, Swiss Manager has a file size limit of 100,000 records. Last week, we just over that file limit.
We fixed the problem on Saturday by eliminating some useless records.
The 90000000 series are actually a result of the FQE merge. I didn't touch those.
I did delete about 2,000 records that were schools. Many egos ago, the CFC sold equipment to schools.

We are now aware of this problem, and will check the file size before uploading. That is if I remember!

Just one more reason for a new rating program.

Don't delete anyone who has played in a tournament and may show up in crosstables. The FQE did this, and recycled their ID numbers. Due to this - old FQE crosstables often show incorrect names - or no name at all.
