Byes: Up to two 1/2 point byes requested prior to Rd. 1.
Equipment: Clocks and sets provided
Prizes: 75% of E.F. returned as prizes

Electronic Devices: While playing, no player may be in the possession (even if turned off) or use a cellphone or other electronic device capable of communication or chess analysis without the explicit permission of the tournament director. All players must have a valid CFC membership. Can be purchased online (chess.ca) or at registration.
Restaurant/Accommodation: There are several options available in Chapleau. For more information contact organizer.
Transportation: The scenic Budd Car (VIA) runs from Chapleau to Sudbury on Dec. 29th. Inquire with organizer about travel to/from Timmins, Sudbury or Sault Ste Marie.
