The now defunct Canada Action Party (lead initially by Paul Hellyer) was an interesting fringe party that I voted for in the 2004 and 2006 federal elections (as I recall). Although nowadays I would not have been at all attracted to many of their policy positions, at the time (and still now) I was definitely not in favour of what is thought of as globalization (nor were they) - supporting local businesses rather than see them slowly crushed by things like Walmart is definitely good for Canada (not only that, globalization can be seen as part of a step towards a One-World government, and, if one is religious, then possibly an Antichrist will soon follow). In any event, the ship of (bad) globalization has definitely sailed long since, so the white flag must be hoisted on that issue.
