    Good morning CYCC players/parents:

All players who finish top 3 or tied for 2nd /3rd place, will automatically be qualified to participate into WCCC/WYCC. All other players who finish close to the top can apply for approval to attend these world events. Since the timing is very tight for both groups, I urge all parents to start thinking and planning now.

If you are in U08, U10 and U12 section,

WCCC registration has already started. This year the deadline for WCCC registration is June 30. CFC will do two groups of registrations. The first group of pre-approved players are already registered into the WCCC system. Their payments are collected and will be wired to the WCCC organizer soon.

The second group of registrations will take place right after CYCC. We already received special extension from the WCCC organizer. However, we only have a few days to finish the whole registration process, collect payment and wire the money.

Once the CYCC final standings are announced, the champion of each section will decide onsite whether they are going to WCCC or not. For all other players, you will have three days to make a decision. The timeline will be straightly enforced as there is no room for extension.

    • Below is the WCCC registration timeline.
    • Jul 10- CYCC champions confirm if they are going to WCCC
    • Jul 13- Qualified players or approved players confirm if they are going to WCCC
    • Jul 15- Payment due date
    • Jul 18- CFC will wire the money to WCCC organizer.

    • WCCC fee:
    • FIDE registration fee – official player 70 euro, additional player 140 euro
    • WCCC registration fee – everyone (players and accompanying person) 100 euro
    • CFC youth fund - $150 for players who don’t finish top 3
    • triple room is 56 euro x 13 x 3 =2184 euro
    • double room A is 69 euro x 13 x 2 = 1794 euro
    • double room B is 77 euro x 13 x 2 = 2002 euro
    • The conversion rate to Canadian is x 1.55 (set by CFC)

Email cfcyouthchess@gmail.com to confirm your participle in WCCC.

If you are in U14, U16 and U18 section,

WYCC registration has already started. Once CYCC champions are announced, you will have two days to decide whether you are going to WYCC or not. For all other players, you will have five days to make a final decision.

    • Below is the WYCC registration timeline.
    • Jul 12- CYCC champions confirm if they are going to WYCC
    • Jul 15- WYCC deadline date
    • Jul 16- Invoice will be sent to parents
    • Jul 22- Payment due date
    • Jul 29- CFC will wire the money to the WYCC organizer.

    • WYCC fee:
    • FIDE entry/registration fee – official player 70 euro, additional player 140 euro
    • WYCC registration fee – everyone (players and accompanying person) 100 euro
    • CFC youth fund - $150 for players who don’t finish top 3
    • Single room is 115 euro x 13 x 1 = 1495 euro
    • Double room is 80 euro x 13 x 2 = 2080 euro
    • The conversion rate to Canadian is x 1.55 (set by CFC)

Email wycc2019canada@gmail.com to confirm your participle in WYCC.
