The CFC has received information regarding a chess book auction. Details follow.

SS Manhem, Gothenburg, Sweden, presents the 52th edition of their annual chess book auction, which this time offers 600 items. The bidding is mostly done online on a special auction site: http://chessbookauction.se.

Besides the online presence, a printed catalog has been sent to registered customers. When wanted, please contact us and it will be sent to you as long as rest print is available.

Many cheap items are available including rare old books and magazines. The very first chess book in Denmark, the so called Viborg book, L/N 514, is offered! A very rare item, printed in 1773.

The auction ends in Sunday 24 march at different hours.

Regards,

the SS Manhem Chess Club
As John Upper notes, "their books will appeal only to very serious collectors who are trying to fill in gaps in their tournament collections and are happy with non-English (and non-French) titles", but it may be worth a look.
