Yeah, OK, the author didn't foresee internet video (or even images) or facebook, so the numbers are inflated. But his prescience was much further off base in regard to the CFC!
One prediction that does seem to have come to pass is that Internet Chess > OTB chess, and OTB chess is reaping a benefit, despite its miserable state in other ways.

In fact, though, I do not post there on any non-confidential issues. I think the governors should post on this members' CFC Chess Forum. This promotes dialogue between members and governors, and proves that some governors are alive !
