Rules for Selection of Official Players for 2018 NAYCC
1. CYCC champion in same age group who didn't go to WYCC as official player.
2. Second place CYCC player in same age group who didn't go to WYCC as official player
3. CYCC champion moving up age group who didn't go to WYCC as official player.
4. Second place CYCC player moving up age group who didn't go to WYCC as official player
5. Third place CYCC player in same age group who didn't go to WYCC as official player
6. Third place CYCC player moving up an age group who didn't go to WYCC as official player
7. Highest placing CYCC player whether in the same age group or moving up who did not go to WYCC as official player. Ties are resolved by highest rating.
8. Anyone in the appropriate age group who played in CYCC.
9. Anyone in the appropriate age group.
10. In case player(s) graduate into an older age bracket. The one not moving up an age bracket would have priority over someone moving up.
11. If none of the qualifying players. Rating is a tie break after CYCC position if you have two players who did not attend CYCC.

The 2018 North American Youth Chess Championships will be held November 16 – 21, 2018 at the Hotel Puerto Nuevo Baja Hotel & Villas, Puerto Nuevo, Baja California, Mexico.
The age categories for the 2018 North American Youth are U8, U10, U12, U14, U16, and U18. Each category has Open and Girls sections. A player’s age for this tournament is his/her age as of January 1, 2018. Medals as well as direct FIDE titles and norms are awarded to the top three players in each section. For more information on the titles/norms available, see last page under Title and Award section.
2017 North American Youth Champions (gold medalists) qualify as personal rights (PR) players, and receive 60% conditions from the organizers.
Registration for the 2018 North American Youth Chess Championship must be done thru Youth Coordinator cfcyouthchess@gmail.com by Saturday Sept 15. The organizing committee offers 60% conditions for PR (Personal Right) and OR (Official Right) players, as mentioned above, but all other players must pay their own entry fees, hotel fees, food, transportation, and travel.

Official player spots are all claimed.
Additional players can be added until Saturday Sept 15.
