Head of delegation may not necessary accrue any benefit if the organizers enforce the recent FIDE policy which requires team captains who are certified by the FIDE training commission.

Dateline this weekend to register for the tournament.

We have a record 19 players registered for this tournament ( including all the official players )

Anabelle has been doing a great job as the HOD.

The tournament will start in 2 months time.

Good luck and the best to Team Canada and hopefully there will be lots of titles and probably a trophy back to Canada.

    Cheers

At the yesterday's conclusion of Pan-Am youth, Team Canada of 19 players achieved the best result ever in her history of playing at this tournament.

Congratulations for a great performance ever and thanks to our HOD Anabelle Kovatcheva for a great job - Well done.

She will also be the HOD for the upcoming WCCC in Brazil.

Cheers and the below are the message from Anabelle :

"Today Canada won third overall place at PAN AM (country prize). US was first, but they had over 70 players vs 19 for Canada. The country prize was calculated based on points earned for each individual placement from 1-10 in each age group.

In addition to the 2 gold, 2 silver and 1 bronze in the regular tournament, we also won 2 bronze medals in the Pan American Blitz tournament (U10 and U18G).

It was a tough tournament with 455 players, and while the team could have done a bit better overall, we have to acknowledge that this is probably the best overall placement we have achieved as a team at this level."

    Anabelle

Next big tournament coming up in International scene will be NAYCC ( July 12-16 )headed by HOD Victoria Jung Doknjas. More information on this tournament coming up soon. Stay tuned
