Default York Region Optimist Chess Tournament

Recently visiting Newmarket (above Toronto, ON) I grabbed Snap Newmarket newspaper (maybe more appropriate eventpaper One page had photos from a recently finished Optimist club chess tournament. You may also look at these photos and a small article online: http://www.snapnewmarket.com/display/86749/591/

After short search: the tournament page http://www.optimistchess.com The series tournaments run more than ten years and attract a lot of kids. Check yourself at their result page: http://www.optimistchess.com/results.htm

    Hi Egis,

The events are part of the CMA Canadian Chess Challenge and Leslie Armstrong, the Chess'n Math Ontario Coordinator is one of the people making sure all runs well each year. The York Region regional is CMA rated only.
