Yup, I'm in now. The "new" site seems faster when looking up players in the database... don't know how it will be when traffic picks up.

Yup, I am connecting to new site also. What a relief.

Vince came for a visit and solved the problem. Although i was clearing my cache on my computer, I was not clearing the cache on my router. Oh, those sneaky internet dudes.

Just how much will the site slow down with lots of traffic, is the big question.
I do anticipate a slow down, we'll see. We are not popping any champagne corks yet!
We are only just completing phase 1 of the "fix the website" project!

Shoot, I'm back on the old server. Sigh.

The vast majority (90% +) have now migrated successfully to the new website. For those still trapped in the old website shaking at fist at my picture, to plagiarize Bill Clinton, “I feel your pain”. I have escaped, but it took some tweaking of my computer setup. You may need to tweak something. Try the usual stuff, clear the cache, try a different browser, yell at the monitor, have a beer, reboot your computer, or ask a techie friend for help.

If that still doesn’t work, please send an email to the CFC office.
Give us some critical info such as your computer type, operating system, internet provider, and browser. Maybe we can see some common patterns and find a solution.

The first rating update on the new server is done.
We encountered a few minor hiccups adjusting to the new setup, but all seems well.
If anyone spots something strange, please let us know.

I'd like to congratulate Bob and Vincent Chow (our independent IT consultant) for the successful server switchover. A lot of hard work on their part.
