    Thank you, Bob, for information!

What about U 8 Girls section, where Canadians had the biggest success?
    Thanks,

    Hi Michael:

Thanks for drawing that to my attention.

I am not sure how to find that information (though maybe I should - I am a bit internet challenged). The official site is: http://www.chesseducators.com/northa...uth/standings/ . It links to the Chess Results site where I got my information.

But the official site omits the U 8 Girls category in its "Standings" list. I had not noticed this.

So could you, or someone else, please post the Canadian results for this section, to give these juniors credit?

I apologize to these juniors for the omission.

    Thanks.

I apologize for the omission of the U 8 Girls results. The normal format had been altered, and the official site did not seem to clearly list the results. Here is now the complete information:

    U 8 Girls

The U8 Open/U8 Girls sections were merged as there were less than 9 - U8 Girls. The U8 Girls results have been recorded in the U8 Open section, as they all played together.

Julian Kuleshov won first place in U8 Girls and is the U8 Girls - 2014 North American Youth Chess Champion; and receives the WCM title.

Mysha Gilani won 2nd place in U8 Girls in the 2014 North American Youth Chess Championship; and had previously earned the WCM title.

    Congratulations Julian and Mysha!

It was quite late last night when I was hurriedly trying to get all this together - good fodder conditions for error (sigh).
