Default Employment Opportunity: CFC on-line magazine editor

The editor of the CFC on-line magazine has the mandate to advance the CFC agenda starting with it's mission to promote and encourage the knowledge, study and play of chess in Canada. This means that a Canadian on-line magazine would:
1)present theories, ideas, and novelties of chess
2)highlight training facilities and opportunities across Canada
3)advertise tournaments and clubs across Canada and facilitate interaction between players of different areas.
The goal of this magazine would be to create the hub of the chess community in Canada. The editor would also present objectively the debates and news about chess in Canada. The editor would present a complete magazine (or complete change of text) at least every month and would insure coverage in both official languages.
Are you interested? Please contact us. We are interested in what you can offer(experience and vision) and your conditions(yes, we mean wages). We will select an on-line magazine editor and we hope to present him/her to the chess community on September 15, 2008. Therefore we need all pertinent information by September 10th.

I think it would expedite things if a remuneration range is presented for the position. If you are anticipating only monthly updates, that is far different from managing fluid online content that (potentially) changes daily. The costs are vastly different for the two situations.

    lol

There are a LOT of things on the CFC website that are out of date or just wrong (not just to do with the 'magazine')

    Ellen:

This had now scrolled down below the main screen. So I thought it might be good to bring it up again, to give it maximum exposure.
