As there are only a few norm events held in Canada each year, this is an excellent opportunity to score that illusive IM norm or title.

A few more players have registered. We are still awaiting confirmation from one more foreign IM. I should have more details by Friday.

Another IM has joined the tournament. IM Renier Castellanos of Spain (Cuban by birth) will be playing. That brings the number of nations represented to 6. So far, out of the 12 registered players, 6 are foreign. The norm possibilities are getting better.
