    Default May CFC Rating Problems

Some events held in the past two or three rating periods have been effectively double rated. Michael is working on the correction to this and all ratings should be up to date some time tomorrow morning.

In the meantime you should be able to figure out the correct rating by examining the crosstables for a given person.

Events have also been rated out of order - for example, this player http://www.chess.ca/players?check_ra...c8ceee2985b01d started OYCC with a rating of 1945, when it should have been 1866.

The same player also scored 7 points from 5 games at his most recent event, which is quite an achievement. It didn't help him any, he still managed to lose 11 rating points in that event.

At least one event is rated regular when it should have been active.

John, don't assume it is wrong!
The kid played 5 games, but also had 5 half point byes.
    4 wins, 1 draw, 5 byes = 7 points in 10 rounds.
Clearly these are just pickup games.
Also, his rating is so much higher than the other kids, 4.5 / 5 does lose rating points!
